I have to think about how to use a one-time payment system but it's less desirable imho. Paypal is perfect for subscriptions as it's the only payment processor that supports it.

What other payment proccessors have Instant Notification and are trustworthy? I won't do e-gold. Moneybookers is a maybe.

1.4x version is near completion..was up all night finishing most of it..at least the hard part of testing it over and over and over again with the IPN.

I love mybb, this is the only thing that was missing.
It beats paying around $150 for another vbulletin owned license.

Suggestion:
I think that if a user needs to subscribed to do something, like download, etc. It should tell them and give them a link.
I noticed a lot of people wondering why they could not download this.

Unfortunately the mybb permission function has no method for a custom message.

error_no_permission() is the function and it pulls up the page that states a person might have to signup, doesn't have perms, or whatever. Instead it should be error_no_permission($message)

Anyways...it's a problem imho but I certainly am not going to tell mybb staff that. It won't be recieved well.
