LoL, I paid but so far haven't found anything to download... then again I haven't looked at all of the plugins available.

Well, the subscription does last a year. I'm sure you'll be able to find something within that time frame!

Now I cannot download anything here since I don't have a credit card. However, you're free to charge for your work, good luck.

I do think this is unfair charging people to subscribe, MyBB is an open source script, and mods should be open source. This is practically robbing people of money...

Feel free to start coding yourself. After you've done several 'large' mods/plugins you will see how much work/time you need to accomplish them. A lil' fee to download all plugins aint that much.

I can not understand why so many are complaining about having to pay the $5 buck USD damn it cost me $5.36 AUD

i might cry a bit over that but hey how many great plugins and themes do we have for that small fee and once 1.4 is released no doubt we will see a lot more.

I'm not complaining, paying a fee to access plugins will help development, ensure quality plugins are made, bugs are fixed quickly etc...

If you don't have a credit card you can always get a pre-paid Mastercard or Visa if they are available in you're area. They work just like a normal credit card does and allows you to make purchases online as long as you have the funds on the card.

Really $5 is not bad to access all of the plugins considering some paid plugins for IPB and Vbulletin go for sometimes $30 - $60 dollars a pop per individual plugins.

If you either don't want to pay to access the plugins or don't agree to it you're always welcome to use another plugin that provides the same functionality or make your own.

Plugins are separate from the normal Mybb license and are not covered by it, so plugin authors are welcome to charge for their creations which a lot of effort goes into.

Wouldn't mind paying the fee if there were more plugins.

But as of right now there are none to suite my needs.
