So I thought I'd share some my ideas for My Awards. I've mentioned some of it to Labrocca already, but I'd like to see what you think.
- Ability to set a maximum number of Awards to be displayed in the Postbit, with the users being able to specify which ones to show in the Postbit. Underneath it there would be a link saying something like [View all 17 Awards] or something to that effect.
- Random awards awarded for browsing the site. If anyone's ever used NeoPets or Gaia, you'll know what I mean. Sometimes just browsing the sites you will find random items. So, every so often randomly browsing the site a user will receive an award with a message at the top proclaiming it.
- Ability to buy certain awards using MyPS. (Would also like the ability to buy a random Award!)
- Award Slot Machine. Every day a user could go to this page and have a chance at winning a random award, with different odds specifiable for each award.
- Ability for certain Awards to be tradeable/sellable between members.
Obviously I doubt to see any of this ever reach the light of day, nor do I expect all of this to even be feasible. Just wanted to share my ideas!
I only need the first suggestion. I would really like to see that.

Generally stuff like this is rather complex to have and does cause more load to the postbit that imho justified. I have no plans to add this in next version but maybe some other later version it will find it's way in.
Your other ideas are interesting and I may use a couple of them. I have an unpublished list of work intended for My Awards that no one knows about.
But what if a user has about 20 awards? Would it still load faster than a [click here] kinda button? *I know nothing about it is why I'm asking.*
The query is that same whether it's one or twenty. Yes more image will load but most of these awards are like 10k. What I could do is set a global "max viewable in postbit" but having to order them or allow users to select is going to be more on the query...it's all doable but the question remains how efficient is it.
I'm more worried about it stretching the postbit out incredibly far than I am about loading time. I'm not really concerned with order either, just a checkbox. But if it can't be done it's not a huge deal to me.
