One new suggestion.
As seen on other forum, allow the admin a new control for no. of posts that can generate MYPS daily. There should be a limit on it. Many admin like this property. This makes the mod more perfection.
Another suggestion.
MYPS generate same amount of points for every thread and posts that are in allowed forums. It is very nice to see different forum posts and threads generates different points. Because each of them have varying importance. This helps the admin to target more traffic to specific forums.

You can already exempt certain forums from earning myps for members. Varying the amount isn't imho worth the trouble and extra code. It's easy just to say X forums recieve no myps while these forums do.
As for the first suggestion...that's not a bad idea. I think what you are asking for is logging of all myps actions so that it can be tracked how much is earned. That's a lot of load and space to take up and again...imho not worth it.
MYPS is written in a way that you can create your own plugins for it. You can certainly make these features yourself and hook them into myps. The hooks have already been added.
My first suggestion is like this:
Suppose I had a forum with MYPS.
My MYPS work like, only the first 10 posts can increase the points in day base ( i.e. 24 hour interval. ). If the user posted the first 10 posts on those forums which not generate points and posted the 11th post on that forum which is included on MYPS, there will not be any change on the points. Because only the first 10 posts are capable of generating points.
So the users have to use the posting wisely.
Iam looking for change like this on your mod. Also consider the other sugestion since that gives the admin more option.
You can do that with a plugin for myps. Talk with lex about it...he has made a couple plugins already and maybe he will be interested. Sorry but it's not something I would use myself so I won't add it to core. A bit selfish of me I know but there is so much to do for myps that's important I want to only do exactly what I need to.

The points system is partially a rewards system. Why on earth would you want to limit that reward. Let's say it's at 10 posts...so after a member makes 10 posts you are basically telling them "come back tomorrow"...I just don't see that logic. As I said you can limit the forums that recieve points...I suggest you exempt forums like off-topic areas where most posts are spammy anyways. This will have a better effect imho than your suggestion of limiting based on point count in a 24 hour period.
What is the use of the points actually?
Many of the forum offers many things like hosting for points.
The forum should be updated daily. That is a need.
If some one score huge amount of points by posting large no. of posts in one day, he can remain idle for months. This make the forum inactive.
Here becomes the role of daily point restriction, so that the admin can assume the workdays by the user and according to it, he can determine the value of points ( comparing with the real money ). Thus the MPS value can match with the real value according to the daily workload.
You seem to have a different idea of what a point system is for and how it's used.
Feel free to explore your ideas by writing the code yourself as I have no intentions of adding those features.
