How do I get threads posted in a forum to appear on the front page of the site?

Not latest news that appears on the front page plugin. (top)

I just want my Left and Right side boxes and the threads people post in the center. Is this possible?

Seems to be close, But I have questions
How do I remove the My Categories and forum from the front page?
So I just have my side boxes and the threads?

Thanks
You mean the default ones from install? You control your forums in admincp.

You can't. That's the index page.
So I guess the website I have seen with the threads on the front page are re-directed urls. sigh

Big Grin Okay then thanks for all your help.Big Grin

Can you provide an example? Also are those forums MyBB? Some software like Vanilla have threads that way.

You could try to rename showthreads.php into index.php but this will probably create problems for links. It's possible to do that but I won't support the modification and provide you instructions. You would need to accomplish this on your own.
Yes, I asked them over at http://lunaticoutpost.com/
and they told me mybb was the software they used.
Looking at the source code, it looks like it to me.

I will d/l a copy of Vanilla and check it out. but I like mybb better then others. :-)

I am doing a parody on conspiracy websites, he he
When finished I will send you a url.. should be explosive..
A bit late to the party, but in case anyone wants an answer to this question :

Just put this as first line in htaccess

DirectoryIndex /forumdisplay.php?fid=X (where X is the forum ID.)
