Full Version: SEO google mod trouble with rewrite URLs

Hey again

I have downloaded and installed the google SEO mod found here: http://mods.mybboard.net/view/google-seo

Since the last upgrade of this mod, I cant seem to make the URL rewrite part to work.. I mean, when I activate it in the settings, it will rewrite the URLs, but when I click on the links it will say "404 not found!" (even though the URLs are rewritten nicely in the URL browser window..).

I think its strange since it was working before.. my htaccess file is pretty similar to the one that is mentioned in the example htaccess that comes with the MOD download.. The only thing ive done differently is to remove the first line as this always gave me an internal error

Any ideas?
Sounds like you're rewriting wrong. Could you post the contents of your .htaccess file please?

I add that line at the very beginning, I get an internal server error 500 when I do...
Could be that your server doesn't have mod_rewrite enabled then. Try contacting them to find out.
I just talked with the customer support at our server mate, he said that Options +FollowSymlinks is not required to have a URL rewrite and asked me to remove it, but that mod_rewrite IS enabled on the server.. im bummed out of this..
Haha.. I found out the problem.. the url rewrite base was wrong.. it had /mybb/ infront of it.. thats why it didnt fint the links.. but thanks for all your help mate, il rep ya
Glad it's all sorted now Smile
