Hello I have been looking for stable, secure, and professional grade (but easy to use) forum software. I am plan to start a community forum for the city I live in. I need something that won't be easily hacked and can handle hundreds of users and thousands of posts. I look at VB(too expensive for now), PhpBB(Great support but 2.x version too simplistic, 3.x is still beta), SMB(Great but admin controls too weird for me), Quezza (Great but admin side is too complex and support forum seems dead and full of spam)
I stumbled on mybb on accident and I must say I am impressed
I am going to give mybb software a go. There are so few bug reports on the current version. Once I get it up and running I will report back.
