Hi, I'm currently trying to convert a vBulletin skin to MyBB. So far I've got most of it done on my own, but I've ran into a problem.

I'm trying to make a repeated images for the background of the header. Basically, I'm trying to go from this:
[Image: Header1.jpg]

To this:
[Image: Header2.jpg]
(Disregard the buttons such as User-CP, Search, etc.

I tried adding this code in Additional CSS, but it didn't work.
Code:
.header {

    background: #202020 url(images/styles/mech/style/header_bg.gif) repeat-x top left;
}

.header_right {

        background-image: url(images/styles/mech/style/header_right.gif);
    background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: top right;
}

On to problem two.

I've managed to get the rounded corners changed, but I can't figure out how to make an images go to the side of each category. Here's a screen shot of what I'm talking about.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you for your time.
You have to edit the templates. For a repeating image I always add tese lines to the "header" template:

Code:
<a name="top"></a>
<table border="0" width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center" style="background-image: url(images/repeat.png);">
<tr><td align="left" style="white-space: nowrap;"><a href="index.php"><img src="images/logo_left.png" border="0" alt="Your Forum Name" /></a><td align="right" style="background-image: url(images/repeat.png);"><div align="right"><img src="images/logo_right.png" alt="Image Right Name" /></div></td>
</tr>
</table>

This example would add another image to the right, too. If you don't want to have an image on the right, just use that part:
Code:
<a name="top"></a>
<table border="0" width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center" style="background-image: url(images/repeat.png);">
<tr><td align="left" style="white-space: nowrap;"><a href="index.php"><img src="images/logo_left.png" border="0" alt="Your Forum Name" /></a>

And I don't really get your 2nd question, sry. xD
I think he is talking about the top left where there is a little bump sticking out. Look hard
