If you are coming from Mybboard you will see the notice on the top of my plugin releases as well as my signature. Plus on signup here you get a PM explaining that subscription is required for download access.

Thank you.

RE: Necropost Notice - EviLito - Dec 11, 2008

necropost xDDDDD

Nice name there ajajaja

Hey labrocca, it's great!!

What about having a variable {days_old} (or something like that) in the notice message so we can show custom messages including the number of days that the thread has since last reply. Ex: "YOu are about to necro post a {days} days old thread.. are you sure you want to reply?"

Also, in the quick reply... is it possible to add a nice notice like it is on the full reply page (instead of the text in the box)? Seems like the amateur users will just send that message out -_-

Jeje, love ur work!

Yes I was thinking of adding a "days old" to the message. Let me see about it tomorrow.

Maybe...I did the quick reply first and then the javascript method didn't work on full reply. In the end the full reply method looks better. So again...let me look into that.

Yeah I agree with both of EviLito's suggestions.

RE: Necropost Notice - x-Treme - Dec 11, 2008

Oh I think this will definitely be of use. Maybe now people will reconsider trying to bump old threads.

RE: Necropost Notice - MattR - Dec 11, 2008

This is brilliant.

If only MyBB would add this to the community forums - I'm tired of people bumping threads that have been dead for months to make some stupid comment, or bumping old 1.2.x plugin or theme threads, asking why it won't work, when the last post was like 2 years ago.

Seriously, this is great.

RE: Necropost Notice - labrocca - Dec 11, 2008

Yeah this was on my project list for a couple months but I was finishing up the Match Rank. Now that's done I have already created 3 plugins this week (mybb2pdf and username history). Glad you guys like this one.

Why so complicating if you just can edit that..

instead of {days_old} you could write in the same number as you wrote in the option.. What would be the point of a variable if the edit thing is just under the option?? Its not like you have to edit templates or language files or something!

Respect.. nice work! Wink
