Disable Zend Optimizer?
#1
Is it possible to just disable it over one directory making my own php.ini file, or must it be disabled across the whole server? I would try myself, but I might miss something or think it isn't possible while there is a way.

I was trying to play with the new elgg script, and it crashes apache. I found that this problem is one of zend optimizer.

Depends on server config.

http://us2.php.net/ini_set

You can try ini_set() function built into php although it's often disabled on servers (like mine).
