Contact Form 3.1
#31
That's the point of the form. No one can know where the email is being sent to. Most likely you are using your own account to test and you see your own accounts email in the field. That's the members email or guests email to reply if you so choose.

I see makes sense, that is exactly what is going on.
Thanks for the quick reply

Hi Labrocca, seems like you hard-coded the text in the "send" button:

PHP Code:
<input class="button" name="send" type="submit" id="send" value="Send" />

Would be nice of you set that as a language variable in the next fix or release Tongue

You can alter it yourself. Easy enough...

<input class="button" name="send" type="submit" id="send" value="{$lang->send}" />

Then add the send variable to your lang file.

$l['send'] = "Send";

Thank you very much ^^

Hi,
I'm running MyBB version 1.4.4, and Contact Form 3.0, I have my settings for the Contact Form "Allow Guest Contact" set to "Yes" but when I am logged out and click on the Contact Form link at the bottom of the page it takes me right to the login page and not the Contact Form. The form works fine for a logged in member. I tried deactivating and reinstalling from a fresh download it but that didn't help. Sad
Any advice?

Update:
In typical 'me' fashion I worked on this all morning and couldn't figure it out to save my life. Sucked it up, posted for help, and walked away for a bit. Came back and was working on something else that wasn't working right and fixed this one too. I don't give my guests access to anything at all. So I gave them access to view the forums, but not actually access to any of the threads and they can now get the Contact Form as well as the COPPA form which was my other 'issue' of the day.
Thanks! Sorry if I wasted anybodies time.

Yes my first thought was you disable all guest viewing which would also prevent the contact form. Glad you figured that out.

excellent plugin,thanks Labrocca!

I was wondering if there is the ability to customize the form and add in different fields to it or modify the existing ones. Also instead of having it go to an email account would it be possible to have it post as a new thread in a specified forum once it is submitted? Thanks in advance for the help.

Just to check, are you using the form from the attachment in the first post of this thread??
