View Unread Posts

There is a View New Posts link, but if you logout and log back in, or leave it for two long, it resets. I would like to have a View Unread Posts link that shows any posts you have not yet read. Can this be done?

As I said when this was mentioned on the MyBB forums, how can MyBB know if you have read an individual post??

MyBB already does this. If a post has been added since you last viewed the thread, it is an "unread post". When you see a green arrow next to a thread, it means there are unread posts in the forum.

Yes but unless you go through and mark each single post as read, it wont know if you've actually read that single one. It just marks a thread as read whenever the thread is opened.

This isn't what I'm suggesting though, so what's your point?

I looked into this...actually started it too. But I realize this plugin is going to be very complex to work with. So I am probably going to just move on. It requires imho a nearly complete rewrite of the search page or a new search page. I gave it a shot though. I spent about 90 minutes trying to see if I can get it done.

Sorry.

I'm surprised it's so complex. Oh well, thanks. Sad
