EDIT: Yes confirmed. If results are zero Mybb doesn't log the search. This is mybb behavior and I understand why it does this. Sorry but it's unlikely I will alter this plugin to reverse that effect. It would require some serious additional code with minimal benefit. If indeed people are searching for things not on your forum then it's likely unrelated content or a bad search.

It would be amazing if you ever idid make the change.
On the basis with a website like mine i have loads of useful articles and if particular items are being searched but not on the site and were very popular i could add them

You might want to ask mybb to change it's procedures for searches. Currently it doesn't log anything that has zero results.

MyBB clears the search results from a task automatically. So unless you messed around with your tasks you won't need to do anything to have results cleared. I think it's once a day it's cleaned out.
