MyBBoard server is down

Maybe they're not that loyal then if they leave over a bit of server downtime. It's not like anybody with any sense is going to just stop using MyBB because the servers went down for a few hours. I was on a site that was down for 10 days, still just as popular, life went on. phpBB got hacked, they were down for about a week, life went on. MyBB's server's gone down, it'll be up again soon enough, life will go on.

Thing about Twitter is that's managed by Ryan Loos who's in the same timezone as Chris Tongue

there really should be multiple people with access to the twitter

i'm not that bothered by it but it would be nice to know what's going on at the time

Wrong, support is awesome, labrocca kicks the devs' asses at support most of the time. xD Now the docs are something that's lacking, if they had a clear doc of the functions, then that would make writing plugins a hell of a lot easier. Community is also awesome, I remember when they had around 30k posts, and look where the official community is now.

I don't think labrocca is part of the myBB team, so myBB doesn't really consider labrocca part of their support team.

And ofc myBB is a business, look at all the subscription sites and custom theme sites generated as a result of it. You don't have to sell a pricey product to be a business...

And uh, loyal? lol, there's no such thing as a loyal customer nowadays. Maybe 50 years ago, but not anymore man. World is too fast for loyalty. You don't offer it, somebody else will.
#25
I meant that sometimes he offers better support than the actual MyBB team. xD

But... you're the one who mentioned losing loyal customers... now you're saying loyal customers don't exist??

True, he knows a hell of a lot more than me that's for sure.

Lol, self-contradiction fail. Loyal customers DO still exist, look at commercial software like vBulletin or IPB, would they be where they are now without LOYAL CUSTOMERS?! No.
#28
They are loyal because vBulletin never fails without a backup plan though. myBB is awesome too man, don't get me wrong. Idk about IPB though, never liked the layout.

Imagine for a minute vBulletin's whole support site and forums collapses without warning for 12 hours, and millions of business customers are waiting in line for technical support, you think they'll wait 12 hours? Maybe... but that's because it's vBulletin. I don't think you can compare anybody to vBulletin. They are a monopoly almost.

Nice, you change your statements like chameleon changes it's colors.

I've never changed my statement. I said I'd lose loyal customers if my server went down for a long time in the first statement, and I repeated that in my second statement. No such thing as loyal, because if you don't offer a dedicated service, somebody else will, and loyal/non-loyal alike will just leave.
