So, I am obveously not look for your secret Omni/Labrocca/Jesse because I am more than certain you would either want to keep it personal or charge a really high amount for it (I would too Smile ), but I was wondering if you could give some tips.

Extra Info: I have 25 youtube videos that are about my forum. They consist of 100-600 views each. I told all my friends that would be interested. I submitted it to over 40 search engines. I may start buying PPC or any other advertising programs, what do you suggest for that also?

Why I Contacted Omni Instead Of Everyone Else: Omni is extremely successful, and now your probably saying: "Well, Google, Yahoo and Paypal are more successful." Well if I went to ask them, I don't know who I would ask, because they are a company, and is not owned by a single person. Omni, is different, he owns all of his sites, and there is no one near his rank. Although Omni does have Mods that help. So thats why I come to Omni, because he is one of the best site maker/owner that is not a Nation-Wide Company. So Omni is one of the best, at what he specializes in. Smile

PS: Tips for people other than Omni are appriciated also.
PS: What should I call you Omni/Labrocca/Jesse?

He works hard, he keeps changing his sites, and he is self sufficient.

Another thing, there comes a time with every webmaster where they reach a point where they get bored or sick of their site, regardless of how good it is. It's the webmasters that continue to work hard regardless of this feeling that tend to be more successful in the future than those that give up or sell their sites.

That's a waste of time. At best place your link in a signature that's semi-related and allowed. What you won't do is steal members from one forum to a similar forum but you can gain members from a related forum. Example is a general gamers forum...and your forum is specific toward Steam. You stand a better chance of being a good member, adding good topics and having a signature link. Reply in posts that might gain interest in your forum. Example: At Digitalpoint I have my HF sig link. I sometimes post helpful info in threads about viruses, ddos attacks, or things related to HF. However DP is not a hacker forum.

That's a more effective method of advertising. You should focus on it.

Seo is very important. Find methods of gaining serp position. There is a lot of info and I couldn't begin to sum it all up for you. But you want to work on links and gaining rank.

You should also make sure you're active at your own forum.

All that being said...not every forum is meant to be a success. I have many failures myself. However I always have at least one or two strong forums that I focus on that does well. Go with what you know and work hard but realize if something isn't working out then don't fear starting over.

My username is labrocca here. I prefer being called the username I have chosen in the forums I participate. Jesse is for my friends...you don't know me.

Wow! Thank-You so much Labrocca. So tell me if this is correct; I should spend time on make tutorials on other forums and add a link to my site, also continue to make youtube videos (also I am beggining to get my videos featured, I am so exited) and lastly, I should try to achieve a high rank on Top 100 boards. Am I correct on those 3 methods? Also, What ranking boards do you suggest? And, What is your input on paid advertising; Is it worth it? What website do you like? Should I buy a permanent banner, do PPC or something different?

Only join top sites if they have page rank. Don't bother with small time sites at all.

Make sure your videos have your url embossed into the video and imho...focus on those. YT is a huge audience and since it doesn't have forum focus it's perfect to promote.

Also if you are writing tutorials consider posting them in free article sites like articlecity. Make sure any links are typed out not just html'd.

He is successful because he focuses, he's hard working, and he's, basically, pro. He knows what to do, how to advertise and more!

OK, I just added 15 more vids, I got 140 subscribers, and they are very active, so I get lots of views Smile Thanks so much Labrocca for your help. I hope one day I could be as good as you. Smile

Also, What is your opinion in paid advertising?

I focus too, just on the wrong things, I am hard working, I just don't know what to work on. But I am defianitly not a pro.

I never use paid advertising. At best I buy some relevent links to gain some PR. I might also pay some posters to start up activity and have some content. I normally don't spend a lot of money starting my sites. If I spend $100 that's a lot.

Self-sufficient is something I am trying to achieve my major weak point is Graphics, I can't for the life of me make an award or a header.

I guess I also need to learn and know more about SEO's and get PR.
