It isn't a bug. It's true for all coding languages in web designing era that a link posted without http:// continues from the place it's located, so this post is located on mybbcentral.com and it continues from that address.
You won't need to do this on forums though because they usually have URL Parsing which automatically adds http:// to your urls.
