Easy Refer

This plugin was born from the need to have a solid way for members to refer other members and for credit to be shown to them. Currently mybb only displays referrals in the admincp and for one member at a time. This has top 20 list and you can view any members referrals (if enabled).


License is GNU/GPL attached inside extras folder.

Installation

1. Upload the 3 files from the zip

root/refer.php
root/inc/languages/english/refer.lang.php
root/inc/plugins/easyrefer.php

2. Login to your admincp and ACTIVATE the plugin (Easy Refer) in the plugin manager.

3. You will see the new setting under "User Registration and Profile Options" called "Show

Referrals". You can read the description there.

NOTE: Captcha will only display if you have captcha ON in settings and I highly recommend

you do. Even members will be shown the captcha image to prevent abuse.

Screenshots are all available inside the extras folder.


This has FULL language support. If you wish to use non-english simply copy the refer.lang.php to your language folder and change accordingly.

No...found a bug...back to fixing it and removed the DL until then.

Hopefully will get this fixed shortly but I am having issues.

Hi labrocca,
I installed this plugin, but it doesn't seem to be working. The section in in users profile shows up fine, and the page + link in the User CP does too. The problem is that once the details are entered and submitted, the page simply refreshes and doesn't actually send the email.

Hmm..you are right...I joined your site fine and I don't know why you would be having that behavior. The plugin is working well on 2 seperate servers I run.

hmm...gotta think about this one...can you try to reupload the plugin files...you don't need to deactivate and reactivate

Also I don't believe this will matter but shut off the captcha and try it...I just want to know if that will effect it.

hm...looking at this I just don't see why it's NOT working. It uses some basic mybb functions to send the mail and it does validate the email. if you can pm me FTP info I will look into it further if you are comfortable with that.

BUG FIXED...For anyone that has this plugin already please download the new zip and reupload the /ROOT/refer.php file.

The problem was some code from my "Contact Form" plugin. So if you do not have that installed...your emails are not being sent out. Please be advised.
