[WIP] TheLounge MyBB Theme

this theme is a WIP (work in progress) and is dedicated to all designers. it's a
calm, simple well designed theme that uses earthy tones as a color scheme. It's a MyBB theme designed for future release here on MyBBCentral

I'm assuming it'll be a bitch to code so don't expect it's release any time soon (hopefully before the turn of the next century =p)

A few things about this theme so listen up!
One very important aspect will be the font. It will be lovingly sprinkled with bits of jQuery and the best of all Cufon! What's Cufon?

So it'll look pretty, function well and most importantly, be unique. I'm trying to push my MyBB Theme designs each time with something new, hopefully i'll be able to provide people with what they're looking for each time.



Anyway, as you can see, it's pretty much still a wip even in it's design phase. Once I've completed the design (i'll keep you guys updated with my progress and major changes I decide on) I'll see that this is brought to life and available for download right here =]

I plan to release this theme in more than one color scheme, it will retain it's earthy browns but the teal will be changed into maybe 3 other primary colors. That will be an easy fix.

Feel free to share your feedback.

(now that ive looked at it for a bit, i'm not loving the colors, i mean they work well together but I might end up working with a deeper brown combo, maybe add a dash of orange instead of the 'teal'...we'll see once the layout is complete)

eh......ummm.....thanks god its only in progress. I dun like it, looks like a badly carved pumpkin...to much waves and curvs and bleh...i jus dun like it so much....

lmao. i was gonna add a right col 'carving' in that last section for the statistics etc haha
the forum dividers need work but meh. we'll see what the majority thinks

got bored of the minimalistic themes i was cooking up, wanted to go a dif route with this one =]

It's certainly different There are some nice ideas, but I'm not sure how good it would actually look "in the flesh".

lmao i can just see Onyx beating himself silly with the keyboard after seeing this and all the 'curves' he so hates sorry dude, but it's just a concept i went with =]

that last right col section would be for the stats, just wanted to explain what i meant above visually.

So you lads think I should just scrap this one? I get attached to all my designs even if they are a tad camp or just plain crap =p

I kinda like it. It's the uniqueness that I think I'm attracted to.
Maybe lessen the curves so they aren't so pronounced? (make more gradual vs sharp)
Don't scrap it. I'm sure it can be adjusted to everyone's liking.

EDIT: And don't get rid of the teal. Orange is becoming just as common as blue. The teal is less used and therefore adds to the theme.

It's a very good concept and is definitely a unique idea, but I don't know if I would use it for a production forum.

However, after seeing how [badly] Jero was coded, I would let people try and code this as a practice challenge so that when you make a really good theme it will come out perfect

Im not sure what i think about this, I think it would be a pain to code.
