I cant seem to resize the side box

Code:
<table border="0" width="90" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="4" class="tborder">
<tr>
<td align="center" class="thead" width="90" ><strong>Hot Links</strong></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td align="center" class="trow1" width="90" ><a href="http://glam.retrocharm.org" target="_blank"><img border="0" src="http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee267/glamed-up/linkglam.gif" alt="GLAMED UP... GLAM Your MySpace!"></a><br>
<a href="http://www.mybbcentral.com" target="_blank"><img border="0" src="http://glam.retrocharm.org/mb/images/glamour/sidebox/mybbcentral.gif"><br>
<a href="http://www.dolliholics.net" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Dolliholics.Net" src="http://www.dolliholics.net/link88x31.gif"></a></td>
</tr>
</table>
<br />

I've specified the width and its still stays the same :S

Where are you putting that code? How does it look with the rest of the page? Have you tried the side boxes plugin?

Well, if you have the sideboxes plugin, you should be able to change the width easily. The default is 25% for the sidebox and 75% for the forums. Just change those numbers to something else, like 20% for the sidebox and 80% for the forums...or some other combination that adds up to 100%.

hmmm i chaged the forum size but the side bar still says the same......

if i change its width in the theme management section for the table it changes but it changes the forum boards aswell :S

Well, if you want the sideboxes to be smaller, wouldn't you want the forums to be wider? Or is that not what you mean?

i've tried to make it wider, and it makes it wider but the side box still stays the same size :S

*edit* i added an id and its now small
butttt theres a gap :S i took out margin: auto auto; and its right next to each other but then its to the left rather then the center :S

Just open your index template
and change these numbers like "Judel" said
Code:
<td width="75%" valign="top">{$forums}</td>
    <td width="25%" valign="top">{$sb_welcome}{$sb_search}{$sb_stats}{$sb_latestthreads}{$sb_additional}</td>
