[Release] Business
#1
Hey,

On my new site, MyBB Tailor, I've started working on some free themes for MyBB. Yesterday I released the first of those, currently called Business.

This is my first ever theme release. Smile

Site: http://www.mybbtailor.com/
Download Link: http://mods.mybb.com/view/business
Info: http://www.mybbtailor.com/thread-43.html
Demo: http://www.mybbtailor.com/demo/

Screenshots attached.

In the screenshots you will see the small toplinks (home, search etc). Big versions are available in the download.

You will also be seeing buttons with white text. Versions with black text are available in the download.

I welcome any comments. Smile

Cheers,
Clarkie

Try making the NavBar a bit more fancy and making some rollover images for it.

Also your link colours are still standard I believe, it would be an idea to make them a bit more like the theme.

Also just for the look, id stay away from Black and White. By that I mean #000000 and #ffffff, make it a bit smoother and replace the black with a dark gray (#050505) and the white with a light grey (#efefef)

The idea of the navbar isn't to be really fancy. What would rollover images do for it? Very little in my opinion...

Any reason why to stay away from black and white?

I left the link colour because I didn't think it was important...

Rollover images would simply make the theme look better -- same with the link color. The link color looks very bad with the theme's color scheme.

Okay well I thought I'd let you know this theme has now been accepted into the MyBB Mods Database. Smile

Just an oposite gradient would be nice for the roller over. Like the nav bar has actually been pressed down.

I dont know what it is, but if you look at any professional photoshop work, Black or White isnt directly used.

That last statement isn't at all true. Most themes use colours, black and white are two colours of many so therefore other colours will be used a lot. You'll probably find blue is the most used colour because in most cases it is neutral but not as contrasting as black and white.

As for the rollover, it's not necessary and I'll consider it at a later date as it's simply a nice extra feature.

I'll change the CSS colour of the links to a grey soon.
