Plugin Name: Mapovifog (Max Post Views For Guests)
Plugin Author: Jesse Labrocca
Plugin Website: http://www.MybbCentral.com
Plugin Version: 1.1
Plugin Mybb Compatibility: 1.6x
Plugin File Edits: None
Plugin File Uploads: 2
Plugin Description: Creates a setting to stop guest viewing and display a signup/login message after a certain amount of thread pages are displayed.
Installation:
1. Upload the filea from the zip
root/inc/plugins/mapovifog.php
root/inc/languages/english/mapovifog.lang.php
2. Login to your admincp and ACTIVATE the plugin (Mapovifog) in the plugin manager.
3. Under admincp settings group "Show Thread Options" there is the setting for Mapovifog. Default is 5. Set to 0 to disable.
IMPORTANT NOTE: I do not know how this will effect search engines that are guests by default. I strongly urge you to create a spider/bot group in admincp and set the spiders to that group. You can give the spiders/bot group permissions to your liking. In admincp after you setup the spider group go to the Configuration tab and you'll see "Spiders / Bots" on the left menu. Edit each spider to be in your new group.
Screenshots available in the extras folder.
This plugin is language compatible.
Enjoy.
